Recipient of the 2017

Midwest Clinic Medal of Honor

Alfred Watkins, former director of bands at Lassiter High School and conductor of the Cobb Wind Symphony, has been named the recipient of the 2017 Midwest Clinic Medal of Honor. The Midwest Clinic, an international band and orchestra conference, presented Watkins with the medal on December 21, 2017 at the 71st Midwest Clinic during the United States Coast Guard Band standing-room only concert of nearly 4,000 attendees.

Alfred L. Watkins will be serving at a guest conductor at the Interlochen Center for the Arts Summer Camp,

 July 1-6, 2018 with the World Youth Wind Symphony.
