Univ of Southern Mississippi and Southern Univ Bands perform together in a display of the American

USM Director of Bands, Dr. Colin McKenzie invited Prof Nathan Haymer and the Southern Univ Band to join them in performing Carmen Dragon's arrangement of "America, the Beautiful" last weekend in the spirit of unity on the gridiron. Mr. Haymer accepted. Kudos to both schools and we salute this spirit of comradeship. We hope this "age-old" concept of combining bands continues throughout the colleges this fall.
