ALW PROFILE: DR. T. ANDRE FEAGIN

A "Tip of the Hat" goes out to Dr, T. Andre Feagin, Associate Professor of Music and Dir of Bands at Coastal Carolina (SC) Univ. Prof Feagin has recently executed an unusual double which deserves notice. In November 2017, Andre was selected by the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) to serve as the guest conductor of the 2017 All-National high School Concert Band in Lake Buena Vista, FL and inJan 2018, was selected again by NAfME to lead the U. S. Army All-American High School Marching Band in San Antonio, Texas. In February 2018, he will present a clinic at the SCMEA Convention.

Dr. Feagin holds his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and his Master's in Conducting from the University of Memphis. He earned his Doctorate in Conducting from the Univ of Arizona and has done post-graduate work in conducting at the University of North Texas. Previously he served on the faculty of UTEP in El Paso and the UA. His major responsibilities at CCU include: implementation of the entire band program, teaches conducting classes and Applied Clarinet. He was a 4-time Drum Major for the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps and he is currently Brass Caption Head for the Boston Crusaders. He was selected for the conductors Symposiums at The Air Force Band of Mid-America and the U.S,. Military Academy. He was the former Dir of Bands at Overton HS in Memphis, TN. Andre should be applauded for his hard work and for his

tireless pursuit of excellence. He is a "Jack -of-All-Trades" and a "Master of Them All." A True Renaissiance Man. Bravo, Sir!!
