Good News from Malaysia! Dr. T. Andre Feagin recently spent time serving as the
international judge and representing Coastal Carolina University at the Sekolah
Berasrama Penuh Music Festival in Malaysia. Dr. Faegin also served as guest lecturer
representing the U.S. The Division of Education sponsored his tenure in Malaysia. He
holds degrees in Music Education and Wind Conducting from the University of Memphis
vand Arizona, and holds a doctorate in Wind Conducting from the Universoty of North
Texas.
In addition, he served as Director of Bands at Overton HS (TN) where his
ensemble was the recipient of the Tennessee Bandmasters Association Sweepstakes
Award. Mr. Feagin was one of three nationally selected conductors to perform as guest
conductor with the U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America and the U.S. Academy Band at
West Point. He is the former Associate Director of Bands at the University of Texas at El
Paso. His drum and bugle corps experience spans two decades having served as Brass
Caption Head for six years with the Santa Clara Vanguard and served on the brass staff of
the Carolina Crown. He is a former Drum Major of the Phantom Regiment Drum and
Bugle Corps. A masterful conductor, Dr. Feagin is Assistant Professor and Director of
Athletic Bands at Coastal Carolina University in SC. Proud of you, Andre.
